Convocation Update...

Location: IIUM
So, here's the deal. I will give a review about my convocation.Ehh, perlu ke review. Just nak bagitau dekat the whole, YEAY! I da grad okkay. Sila jangan jeles. (I tak extend mahupun repeat apa2 ye) sebab kadang2 ada jugak dengar rumours dalam debate community yang I ni extend study la, bla...bla...
Aishhh... kalau I pointer I below dari 3.3 pun dah kecut perut tak tau nak justify kat Maybank, because kalau below than that, diorang freeze kan scholar untuk next sem. Lepas tu nanti sape nak sponsor make up I, elaun berfoya2 i.Ehh.. kesitu pulak
No la, the truth is, I've been hurting myself for my own mistake before this. My SPM result sangat lah terrible. For boarding school student kalau dapat result macam I haruslah dikeji lagi dimaki. Nasib baik la masa study dekat Matric IIUM I bounce back balik. Merasa la jugak dapat scholar. Hee..
Fyi, I hanyalah berjaya grad dengan 2nd Class Upper. Pointer overall, oklah atas 3.3 jugak (Boleh tak I nak salahkan Maybank, coz kalau diorang cakap kena at least 3.6, mesti I dah lebih rajin. Wah gitu!) Tapi I'm so happy because my best friend, Aiman Ariff dapat First Class =) Congrats =))
Walaupun tak dapat First Class, tapi tak bermakna kita tak perlu over utk konvo. Kalau kahwin hanya sekali, begitu jugalah convo Degree. Jadi mesti all-out (dan duit pun habis laa.. sob..sob..)
So, pukul 5.30 pagi I dah bangun fetch my make up artist untuk make up dekat rumah I..Malam sebelum tu tido 2 jam sahaja ye sbb buat kerja office. So mata panda bear memang tak dapat dielakkan. And then make up artist and my photographer hantar I pg IIUM la. Mama and abah pegi lambat sikit because diorang nak breakfast dulu..
And usual... I lambat lah kan, dgn bantuan rakan2 lain I pun terhegeh2 la pakai robe dan masuk dalam dewan.. Kemudian, berlaku lah acara2 wajib semasa convocation

Interview Session with RHB
Date: September 2011
Venue: RHB Centre, Jalan Tun Razak.
Okkay, last month I went for an interview session at RHB Centre at Jalan Tun Razak. It is for Management Associate Program. A special program that gives you an opportunity to climb the corporate ladder faster than normal employee and to train to become Top Management of RHB (I just quote it from the website)
How I managed to get into the interview?
I went to Graduan Career Fair with my bff, Mimie
When I arrived there, its too late already (perlu ke nak terkejut?)
Almost every both dah tutup but tiba2 i nampak this one lady officer smiled at me, then we have a short conversation for a while.
Cut it short, I passed my resume to her.
What happened after that?
In early of September, I received an email from RHB stating that I have been shortlisted as one of the candidate (Yeay!)
Tetapi, ku sangka hujan hingga ke petang
Malangnya, ada Numerical test. Numerical test adalah sebuah is a kind of mental torture and physical abuse for a law student like me (tapi ada jer law student yang pandai mengira)
Ramai je yang all-rounder unlike me
Sob...Sob...Sob...
Itulah, dulu rajin sangat ponteng Math class
Buat2 busy la konon.
In the invitation email, they mentioned that I'll have to face several stages i.e. Numerical Test, English Test and IQ & Personality Test.
If u managed to pass all of it, they will invite you to the Interview Session with the HR officer
During the interview session
I arrived on the dot (Clap...Clap...)
and I was like OMG, there's a lot of other candidates
*Gulp*
So, perlu ke i pulang dengan kesedihan? Ohhh tidak...
Rugi my cab fare RM 21.00 kot
Jadi i pun meneruskan langkah dengan rasa kecuakan langit ketujuh
So, here's the the deal... I pun buatlah Numerical Test dengan penuh passionate
Menekan butang calculator dengan gigihnya walaupun tak tau apa yang ditekan
Habis je Numerical Test, terus dapat English Test
Aha.. this one is definitely better
Most of the articles about corporate thingy
So, ada la knowledge sikit2 during chambering
Then, IQ & Personality Test...
Yang nie, jujur sajalah =)
Kemudian, I pun keluar la dengan penuh blur sekali
Sempatlah have a conversation with another candidate
I forgot her name already but she is a graduate from Monash and I'm quite surprised when she told me she's from Jakarta, Indonesia.
Tiba-tiba...
Jeng...Jeng...
Nama I dipanggil untuk next stage. Okkay, rasa macam tak percaya
and alhamdullilah, yang interview I tu is the same officer yang borak dengan I during Graduan Career Fair
Did I manage to get into the next stage?
I was so terkejut when the officer straight away told me that I'm qualified to the next stage
She asked me to make a proper consideration whether I want to join Investment or Audit & Risk Management
OMG, where else can u find officer sebaik tu?
Siap bagi i buat pilihan lagi okkay.
But final stage is the hardest part, you need to convince the Top Management to accept you to become part of them
Well if they asked you like "Why do you want to be an investment banker?"
You cannot simply said "Ohh, I find it very sexy and they pay you bonus handsomely"
You better kill yourself rather than giving that kind of answer.

Okkay, I sampai 5 minit lambat
Kalau awal tu, bukan i la kan.
Tapi... macam takda orang je
I dah cuak, ingatkan dah tersilap hari
Luckily, I was right.
They locked all the final candidates in several rooms.
Dan rupa2nya diorang semua datang since pukul 10 pagi sebab diorang ada another session.
An Analytical & Communication test, tapi I dengan jayanya berjaya skip that test sebab I mana boleh keluar office lama2 sangat.
Nanti master i bising okkay
Then, here comes the scariest part of all.
A face to face interview session with Top Management
*gulp*
To cut it short, the last assesment was so fun
The interviewers were being so nice to me eventhough I keep telling them that I'm not good in numbering.
My happiest moment was when they told me that they were impressed with my determination to pursue in banking & financial industry.
At first they thought that salary is the main issue why I want to jump from Legal Fraternity but when I told them about my monthly earning, they were quite shocked actually.
It was a very laid back interview actually.
Before I went back, they told me that they will contact me within 2 weeks.
Ohhh no, the cliche answer, confirm laaa tak dapat.
2 weeks later;
When I was busy doing my work at the office, tiba2 ada this one private number called me.
It was from the RHB HR office. The officer told me that I was selected for the program
Yeay =)
Tapi, I need to commence my duty on 2nd October
Owh, masa tu belum habis chambering lagi
So eventually, I'm stuck between two options, to finish my chambering or to join RHB.
But, alhamdullilah RHB is more than willing to wait for me until I finish my chambering
I'm so happy with their kind consideration
Lastly, I just wanna say

What can we contribute to the society rather than entertain you with our presentation?
Its better for us to help those unprivilliged people, to educate them about their rights or perhaps resolve their legal issues
But, you (LAC) let us be a lazy ass by doing research 24/7

Farewell party for Ross
Date: 30/9/2011
Venue: Red Box, Low Yatt
Setelah puas menanti picture dari Kak Shikin, barulah I boleh update pasal entry ni. Okkay last Friday, me and my colleagues went to karaoke at Red Box, Low Yat. This is in conjunction with Ross farewell party. Eventhough the attendees just 6 of us, but we nailed the session =)
I datang lambat sikit because.... (okkay, takde alasan memang selalu lambat pun)
Sampai2 je terus makan sebab lapar sangat but last2 i lupa nak makan my favourite sushi. Aishhh
As for me, I pasti la akan memulakan session tu dengan lagu wajib i, Keranamu Kekasih by Illa Sabry.
But kali ni I nak ubah mood, banyak nyanyi duet instead of solo.
I duet lagu Madah Berhelah with Kak Shikin (or known as Boo Ali), Memori Daun Pisang dgn Ahmad (walaupun Ahmad nyanyi sekejap je sbb vocal Iwan tinggi sangat katanya) and lagu Penghujung Cinta (a song by Pasha and his wife, Adelia). I jadi Pasha okkay and Ross jadi Adelia.
Sangat tak sesuai dengan I yang ayu ni =)

Duet paling meriah when the whole room bergabung nyanyi lagu Pencinta Wanita
Ahmad and Syahrul berangan jadi Irwansyah
dan kitaorg berempat yang sangat jelita bertukar menjadi Acha Sepriatsa dan rakan2nya
Ehh, tanyalah siapa yang jadi Acha?
Of course lah I kan sbb di akhir2 persembahan I overshadow yang lain

Tapi kan... duet Madah Berhelah I dengan Kak Shikin sangat mantap okkay

Masa i Form 5, zaman i masih kudus (okkay, sekarang pun masih lagi)
I met TKC (Kolej Tunku Kurshiah)for PPM Debate Tournament.
Tapi masa tu, senyum2 je
Maklumlah i busy buat preparation, Husna busy tido
Then , we met again during matric
Di mana lagi kalau bukan IIUM, Matriculation Centre
Then i cakap "Eh2, kenapa u pakai tudung macam nak terkeluar muka?"
Huhuhuhu
I still remember that =)
How we click together?
Entah.. tak sedar pun bila
Tiba2 je dah jadi BFF
Maybe sebab perangai sama kot
We love - perfume, debate, good food, karaoke, travelling, movies and Pasha Ungu
We hate- Lelaki perasan bagus, pengotor, kaki menyibuk (OMG, golongan2 get a life)
Why we need each other?
For obvious reason, Husna can't drive

We've been together through bad and good times
Previously, there was an issue that tested our relationship

I'm so blurred
Just received a call from R, one of the largest bank in
But sadly, they want me to report my duty this coming Monday (3rd October 2011)
This means that I can’t finish my chambering period
I am torn in between, to be honest
I don't even picture myself as a practising lawyer
But mama dan abah nak sangat tengok anak dia yang sorang ni called to the Bar
And most importantly, my chambering will finish soon on this coming 14 October 2011
Can't they just wait?
The answer is negative =(
It’s a structured program, so the first task is get to know the CEO which will be held on 3rd October 2011

Before this, during the interview, they told me that it will be started on 14 October,
but why they changed the date...
Frankly speaking, I'm so honoured with the offer because its an exclusive program which entitle you to climb the corporate ladder faster than everyone else
During the interview session, I am the only law student where the rest of the candidates are accountants!
Its a very tough interview
I even have to sit for the numerical test which I tought I would definitely failed
but alhamdullilah, rezeki I murah
But now.. I don't know which road should I take

Flashback for future...
Hola...
I'm back
This would be my second attempt for blogging
Before this, separuh jalan jer...
Well as usual I will update about my daily routine
My passion for shopping, hectic working life and everything in between
By way of introduction, my name is Farhan Nor Diyana
I'm 23 years old...err okkay please add another 1 year
Currently, reading in chambers at Kadir, Andri & Partners
Not a lawyer by nature, I'm stuck in this legal fraternity because..............
(seriously, I'm lost in finding the justification)
Well, mesti kalau cakap lawyer je people akan ingat pergi court kan
Like those scene in Ally Mcbeal, Legally Blonde and etc
but mine a lil bit different, most of the time I deals with corporate matters like shares, sukuk, merger& acquisitions and all the boring stuff
But somehow i rather enjoyed doing it =)
I secretly wish that I have another degree in accounting&finance eventhough didn't do well in my Math
Seriously, when u hv a combination of legal and financial backgroud, you can rock the world
Ohhh, okkay I mean corporate world
Okkay, I'm a bit dorky here
My family is my utmost consideration
I'm very blessed and thankful with their presence in my life =)
I'm so in love with my cotton candies (I always refer my besties as Cotton Candies)
They accept me as who I am and they love me soooo much
Kalau nak shopping ajak i because I have a natural talent to become as your personal shopper
My rate tak semahal Kim Kardashian but I bet you'll be satisfy with my service
I shop a lot, maka dengan itu menjadikan saya manusia paling miskin di dunia
Sob..Sob..Sob..
I'm currently begging someone(yang baru dapat cheque 10k) to buy me a new perfume as my convocation present
Ala, Selvatore Ferragamo jer
Apalah sangat dengan kasih sayang I yang tak ternilai ni

I just figured out that I hv a moderate talent in kitchen
Hahahaha
My housemate cakap, my sambal udang sedap
